"Tail" (꼬리) (stylized in all caps) is the sixth digital single by Sunmi. It was released on February 23, 2021.
Music video
The music video for "Tail" was directed by Cho Bum-jin of VM Project.[1]
It was inspired by the story of Catwoman, who loved and took care of cats and used to be very kind until she was killed by her boss. She was then given life and powers by cats. Sunmi wanted to emphasize the change between before the rebirth and after, once she has become the villain.[2] Animals like cats and dogs always proudly and confidently show their feelings, often through the movement of their tail. Sunmi used that to mean that the person in the song will express her love and desire the same way.[2]
The choreography contains catlike moves, as well as multiple moves to express a tail.[2]
