Sia Jiwoo (시아지우), formerly known as simply Sia (시아) and also by her full name Park Jiwoo (박지우), is a South Korean singer, influencer and content creator under Just COLOR Studio and Soon Ent. She made her debut debut on October 7, 2022 with the digital single "Do It My Own Way (D.I.M.O.W)". She is a former member of the cancelled girl group Delight, which later rebranded to a co-ed trainee group.
She is also known for being a former contestant on the competitive reality show, MIXNINE.
Career
2017: MIXNINE
On October 29, 2017, Sia Jiwoo, then going by her real name Park Jiwoo, was a contestant on the competitive reality show, MIXNINE as a trainee representing START Entertainment. She was eventually eliminated from the competition with her final overall rank in 116th place.[1]
2020: Delight, Just COLOR
On April 9, 2020, she was revealed as member Sia of the upcoming girl group, Delight.[2] On May 11, 2021, Delight revealed that they had changed their group name to 'Just COLOR', rebranded their SNS accounts and that they have integrated themselves to be a co-ed trainee group showcasing all the agency's trainees. Thus, it is suspected that Delight's debut preparations have either been postponed or cancelled altogether.
2022–present: Hello House, solo debut
Eventually by early 2022, it seems the agency had entirely abandoned their K-pop trainee group project. Around the same time, they created a content creator group known as 'Hello House', of which, Sia Jiwoo was introduced as a member.[3]
Since then, as a part of Hello House, she had decided to focus her career on being a full-time influencer and content creator.
Sometime in 2022, she also co-signed with Soon Ent to debut as a soloist singer. Sia Jiwoo eventually made her debut as a soloist singer on October 7, 2022, with the release of her first digital single, "Do It My Own Way (D.I.M.O.W)".[4][5]
Sia Jiwoo released her second digital single "Yummy" on June 12, 2023.[6]
