Jung Ilhoon (정일훈; or Ilhoon) is a South Korean rapper and songwriter under Carpenters Art Republic. He is a former member of the boy group BTOB. He is also best known as the creator of the 'Gwiyomi Player'.
He made his solo debut on March 8, 2018 with the mini album Big Wave.
History
2020: Departure from BTOB
On December 21, 2020, it was reported that Ilhoon was under investigation for suspicion of marijuana use.[1] On December 31 of the same year, he was withdrawn from BTOB following the accusations but remained under Cube Entertainment.[2] He admitted to the charges at his first hearing on April 22, 2021.[3]
Personal life
Military service
On May 28, 2020, he enlisted in the military as a public service worker.[4] He was discharged on February 27, 2022.[citation needed]

- He is the younger brother of singer JOO.
- He graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School and attended Korea College of Media Arts with acting course.
- Ilhoon has been appearing on variety show Weekly Idol as a special MC/assistant MC together with Apink's Bomi.
- He made his acting debut on 2015 with "Webtoon Hero: Tundra Show" as Kim Sungmin.
- Ilhoon released his first solo track "Fancy Shoes" On May 30, 2017
- Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Im Hyunsik, Jung Ilhoon and Lee Minwoo (TK of C Clown) were first original line BTOB members, before debut.
- Ilhoon made Kwiyomi gestures during episode 24 of BtoB's MTV Diary, and then went on to be a viral after Ilhoon made an appearance on Weekly Idol.
