Interpark

Interpark (인터파크) is a South Korean e-commerce company. They began as Korea's first online shopping mall in 1996 before expanding to an online bookstore, ticket sales, tour agency, and music distributor.

Their name is a combination of "internet" and "theme park".

History

2021: New sub-label, acquisition by Yanolja

On July 21, 2021, the company announced that they had established a subsidiary label, Interpark Music Plus, for their idol group production business. It was also revealed that the sub-label was preparing to launch a new male idol group within the year.[1]

On October 14, 2021, it was announced that travel tech company Yanolja had acquired a 70% stake in Interpark for around $250 million.[2] The deal was finalized on December 28, 2021.[3]
