On December 16, 2024, it was announced that XLOV would be debuting on January 7, 2025.^[1] On December 24, pre-orders for their debut single "I'mma Be" opened.^[2]

On December 29, 2024, it was announced that Rui's teaser release will be postponed to the next day due to the recent Jeju Air Flight 2216 crash accident.^[3]
