Hwi (휘) is a South Korean singer under J-FLO Entertainment. He is the main vocalist of the boy group Newkidd and a member of its subunit Newkidd02.
Career
2018: Newkidd02
On July 11, 2018, Hwi was introduced to be one of the two newest members of Newkidd through the sub-unit Newkidd02.[1] They released the preview single album "Boy Boy Boy" on July 25.[2]
2019–present: Newkidd
On April 18, 2019, Newkidd finally released news of their official debut along with individual teasers.[3] Hwi then officially made his debut with the group on April 25.[4]
Personal life
Military service
On November 8, 2022, J-FLO Entertainment announced that Hwi will enlist as an active duty soldier on the same day privately.[5] He will be discharged on May 7, 2024.
