HELLO GLOOM

HELLO GLOOM (also known as Ungjae (웅재)) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper under Way Better. He is a member of the boy group IMFACT.

He made his solo debut on May 28, 2022 with his first EP Because I Was Young Boy.

Career

2016–2017: Debut with IMFACT and The Unit

On January 27, 2016, Ungjae debuted as a member of the boy group IMFACT with the release of the single album "Lollipop".

In 2017, Ungjae then participated in the KBS2 TV reality show The Unit. Unfortunately, in episode 13, which was aired on December 9, he was eliminated with his final rank being 26th.

2021–2022: Solo debut with "Drama", departure from Star Empire, "TV Star", Because I Was Young Boy

On September 29, 2021, Naungjae released the pre-release single "Drama", for his upcoming EP which was not announced yet.

On January 3, 2022, Naungjae announced that he has departed from Star Empire Entertainment after his contract expired.[1] One day later, Star Empire announced that the members of IMFACT have parted ways with the agency.[2]

On February 23, 2022, he released his second pre-release single "TV Star" under his new stage name HELLO GLOOM.

On May 28, 2022, he made his solo debut with his first EP Because I Was Young Boy.

2023: "Dancing In The Dark", "Eyes On Me"

On February 6, 2023, it was announced that HELLO GLOOM is preparing for a comeback.[3] A few days later, his first single album (labeled as a third single), "Dancing In The Dark", was revealed to be released on February 16.[4]

On May 17, he announced his second single album (labeled as a fourth single), "Eyes On Me", set to be released on May 28.[5]

On September 8, he announced his new single, "Heaven On Earth", set to be released on September 19.[6]

2024: "Mamacita"

On March 11, 2024, he announced that he will be releasing a new single on March 22.[7] The name of the single album was revealed on March 13 to be, "Mamacita".[8]
