Elkie (엘키) is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter and actress. She is a former member of the girl group CLC.
She made her solo debut on November 23, 2018 with the digital single "I Dream".
Career
2016: Debut with CLC
On February 23, 2016, Cube Entertainment announced that Elkie, alongside Eunbin, would be joining CLC as the group's newest members.[1] She made her official debut as a member on February 29 with the mini album Refresh.
2018: Solo debut
Elkie made her solo debut on November 23, 2018 with her first digital single "I Dream".
2020-2021: Lawsuit with Cube Entertainment, departure from CLC
On December 25, 2020, it was reported that Elkie has submitted a request to terminate her contract with Cube Entertainment, citing lack of payment and support for the group's development, implying the company has no plans for Elkie's future. Her legal team has mentioned that after Cube Entertainment receives the request, they will have 15 days to respond with her income statement before taking further action.[2]
On February 3, 2021, Cube Entertainment announced Elkie's departure from the agency and CLC following the termination of her contract in a mutual agreement between both parties.[3]
2021: Solo activities
Following her departure from Cube Entertainment, Elkie established her own studio for activities in Mainland China. She now goes by her Mandarin name Zhuang Ding Xin, and has started her YouTube channel and Douyin where she regularly uploads content for fans.
On June 25, 2021, Elkie collaborated with T.U.B.S’ Jili for the single "Gave My Heart Away".
2023: "Speed Up", Show up girls
On August 3, 2023, Elkie announced the title of her digital single "Speed Up", which would be released on August 11.[4]
In October 2023, Elkie was revealed as a contestant on the Taiwanese reality survival show Show up girls.[5]
2024: #EK
On May 16, 2024, Elkie announced the release of her first EP #EK, which was scheduled to be released on June 27, 2024.
2025: Love Is
On April 14, 2025, Elkie announced the release of her second EP Love Is, to be released on April 19.

Trivia
- In CLC, her representative fruit was a cherry.[7]
- She is good friends with Tzuyu.[8]
- In a recent interview, Elkie revealed that she originally wrote "Speed Up" for CLC but Cube Entertainment had turned it down and rejected many other songs she wrote for the group. Further confirming that Cube did not allow the members to contribute in their music production compared to other Cube artists.[10]
