BABYMONS7ER is the debut mini album by BABYMONSTER. It was released on April 1, 2024 with "Sheesh" serving as the album's title track.
"Stuck In The Middle" was pre-released on February 1, 2024.
This album marks the official debut of member Ahyeon as she had been unable to participate in the previous group activities due to health reasons.[1]
The physical album comes in eight versions: Photobook and seven individual Tag Albums.
Background
On January 1, 2024, YG Entertainment announced that BABYMONSTER will release a mini album on April 1.[2] On January 25, YG announced that Ahyeon would be rejoining BABYMONSTER for the group's upcoming mini album. Additionally, the group will be recording new seven-member versions of their previous singles.[1] On February 27, the group released an announcement video for their first mini album BABYMONS7ER.[3]
Commercial performance
According to Hanteo Chart, BABYMONS7ER sold 401,287 copies in its first week of release, breaking the record for the highest first-week sales of any girl group debut album so far.[4]
On October 10, 2024, the Photobook and Tag versions of the album were certified by the KMCA for selling 250,000 and 500,000 copies via Circle Chart, respectively.[5]
