B.Crown (비크라운) is a boy group under PLUSWIN Entertainment. Originally as a four-member boy group, they debuted on March 5, 2016 with their first Japanese digital single "If..".
History
2015: Pre-debut
On September 8, 2015, it was announced that BARA would be rebranded into a new group called B.Crown.[1] The same month, the group's lineup was revealed, consisting of BARA's Sooheok, Chanhwi and two new members: Seulgi and Hyunwoo.[2]
2016: Debut with "If..", Sangwon's addition and departure
On March 5, 2016, the group made their debut with their first Japanese digital single "If..".
On June 2, 2016, Sangwon was added to the group as a new member, making them a five-member boy group. However, he later left the group on October 28, 2016 due to health reasons.[3]
2017: "Lucky"
On December 13, 2017, the group released their first EP Lucky.[4] A music video for the Korean version of "Lucky" was later released on December 16, 2017.[5]
2018: Seulgi's enlistment
On July 2, 2018, it was announced that Seulgi had enlisted in the military for his mandatory military service.[6] Meanwhile, the group continued to promote as a trio.[7]
2020: Chanhwi and Seulgi's departure
On February 11, 2020, it was announced that Chanhwi and Seulgi had left the group;[8] Seulgi left the group to start a new chapter in his life while Chanhwi left the group due to undisclosed reasons.[9][10]
2024: Sooheok's departure
On January 4, 2024, it was announced that Sooheok would be graduating from the group and that B.Crown would continue with only Hyunwoo.[11] Sooheok later officially left the group on March 31, 2024.[12]
