Laura Bailey (born May 28, 1981 in Biloxi, Mississippi) is an American voice actor, ADR director, and line producer. She went into voice acting for Funimation Entertainment after meeting Kent Williams in a play they were in. Currently active in the dubbing industry for over a decade now, Bailey has provided her voice to a large number of anime series and video games. On September 25, 2011, she married fellow voice actor Travis Willingham.
Being a gamer herself, Bailey is a fan of video games including Fable II, Halo 3, Tekken, and the Final Fantasy series (specifically X). She used to play EverQuest II until other people recognized her. During her audition for the role of Chun-Li from Street Fighter IV, she was the only person who recognized the character upon first glance which helped her land the part.
Bailey's versatile vocal range has enabled her to perform various types of female characters ranging from sweet ingenues to deadly femme fatales. In some cases, she has also lent her voice to young male characters as well. A few of her well-known roles include Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket, Kushina Uzumaki in Naruto Shippūden, Lust in Full Metal Alchemist, and Rayne in BloodRayne.
