Hisao Egawa

Hisao Egawa (江川 央生, Egawa Hisao, born September 13 in Tokyo) is a Japanese thespian, voice actor, and narrator who is currently affiliated with Aoni Production. He is a graduate of his agency's voice actor training program, Aoni Jyuku. Aside from making his professional debut as voice actor in the early nineties, Egawa at times acts as a background actor for television dramas; he has acted as Lennie Small in a theatrical version of Of Mice and Men. Little else is known about Egawa's personal life or career training. He is notoriously quiet about himself during interviews and tends to avoid public appearances. What can be gleaned from his profiles with talent agencies are his hobbies: Shorinji Kempo, swimming, wind surfing and basketball.

Egawa often performs secondary characters who are tough and muscular. His characters are villainous or incidental who speak with an intimidating, rough voice. Though he has performed characters who break from this typecast, Egawa has yet to act as a heroic main protagonist. A few of his roles include Commander Andrew in Xenosaga, Killer Bee in Naruto Shippūden, and Tekki in Momo Kyun Sword. He also provides the Japanese voice for Sayid Jarrah in Lost, David "Future" Porter in 8 Mile, and Fenrir Greyback in the Harry Potter film series.
