Cuishi (崔氏, onyomi: Sai Shi) is Koei's original nickname for Lady Cui (崔女士, onyomi: Saijoshi). She is Cao Zhi's wife, niece of Cui Yan. Not much was historically written about her, only her cause of death is really known. The Wei-Jin Shiyu records that Cao Cao caught Cui Shi wearing clothing that was too guardy, violating the law. He forced her to commit suicide. The law she violated was one of many intended stem the tide of political corruption, as people were dressing above their station. Cui Shi's thought to have been dressed in a manner fitting the wife of the Crown prince. Her husband Cao Zhi wrote moving poems about her.
Role in Games
Debuting in Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV, Cuishi appears as a free officer around Pingyuan and is affiliated with Cao Cao's forces otherwise with a birth and death year of 188 and 216 respectively. He stats are at best average in regards to domestic affairs and are very low for actual battle. Her single character trait increases the rate of supply consumption for her unit when she is deployed (Extravagant). The administrative policy she offers increases the rate by which officers recover from wounds or diseases by a negligible rate (Herbal Medicine Lv 01).
