Pods are large seed-shaped bio-ships used by Beasts as a means of providing safe transport across space or within atmospheric conditions. They are usually carried by larger beast ships who then launches them for boarding or rapid insertion purposes. Pods can withstand incoming fire to a certain extent due to their though exterior. Inside this armor shell is a hollowed chamber which contains beasts in individual cell rooms. The stored beasts appear to be in an inactive state while in transit. To release, a pod would simply open the cupola hatches which protrudes throughout its surface area.
Despite being biologically-structured beasts, pods do not have their own cores nor has manifested any signs of sentience/consciousness. It also does not appear to possess methods of independent guidance, steering, or propulsion since they are merely dropped from free fall, launched like a projectile, or made to glide following the direction towards its given target. As such, they are only used for intermediate travel such as when descending from orbit for planetary invasions. Due to its sturdy frame, pods can also be used to penetrate through armored structures whereby it would inject the beasts carried within upon successful forced breaching.
