Vaseball is a sport played by kids and young teens at the Stadium. It has the same setup as baseball with two teams, a pitcher, a batter, several field catchers and bases. Instead of throwing a ball, the pitcher throw vases, teapots, trinkets and other breakable objects.

Information

Vaseball pitcher

Two opposing teams meet for a game where one team will throw an item and attempt to catch it once it's hit. The other team will try to hit the item and smash it in the process, to the entertainment of the audience. Once the item's hit, the batter will attempt to run the four bases to score a point, or run to the furthest one before the pieces are caught by the other team. The items are procured from the audience, who use them to pay for their admission to the game. If the pieces of the item land in the stands instead of the field, it's ruled to be foul and the audience will typically fight each other to get the pieces. Nick and Chip are the commentators at the game and Ernest is the commissioner of the sport.

The sport was developed by Ernest as a way of tricking the neighbourhood kids into getting grounded by their parents. While the kids are busy playing and watching vaseball, he and his bullies tp the neighbourhood and get all the kids grounded.

History

Vaseball numbuh 4

After breaking his mother's vase several times, Numbuh 4 was told by his mother that should he break her last vase, he would be sent to Ballroom Dancing School. This vase was then stolen by a kid and brought to the Stadium as payment for attending the game. Bustin' Glass Sox was playing another team that day and Numbuh 4 sneaked onto the team to play as well. He proved to have a natural talent in the sport, but when his mother's vase was the next item thrown he instead caught it and ran off the field while being chased by the players for not breaking the vase. By hiding in Ernest's office, he learns that the whole game was a setup for him and his bullies to toiletpaper and egg all the houses in the neighbourhood before telling on the kids for stealing their parent's stuff. A duel between the two of them ended in Ernest's defeat, but Numbuh 4 was not quick enough to stop the message from going out to all the parents, ending with all the kids grounded except for Numbuh 4 (Operation: B.R.E.A.K.U.P.).
