Makiko Ohmoto

Makiko Ohmoto (大本おおもと眞基子まきこ) is a Japanese voice actress who is best known for playing the roles of Kirby (in both the games and the anime). Ohmoto also plays Ness in the Super Smash Bros. games, Lyn of the Fire Emblem series in the Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Viridi in Kid Icarus: Uprising, and some of the voice options for the Mii fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Ohmoto also provides the voice of Rick the Hamster and Iro in the anime, Queen Sectonia in Kirby: Triple Deluxe ^[1] and Susie in Kirby: Planet Robobot.

The first appearance of Makiko Ohmoto's voice as Kirby is in Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64, as Kirby was not yet voiced by Ohmoto in Mario Kirby Masterpiece. However, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards marks her first time voicing Kirby in a Kirby game.

Trivia

In the English credits of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, her name was misspelled as Makiko Oomoto, which is possibly a translation error.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Makiko Ohmoto figured out Terry's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate based on the two lines she voiced for Kirby's Terry ability ("Power Wave!" and "Rock you!"). She recalled playing Fatal Fury with her younger brother and quickly guessed that Terry was being added to the game.
