The Item Room is a location in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Fighters 2.

The Item Room is visted frequently in Story Mode: The Destined Rivals, appearing between each battle. It is a single screen that offers Kirby one of three Story Items with descriptions. With the exception of food, all equipment becomes a permanent upgrade for the duration of the chapter. Scaling the Buddy Fighters Tower can be a perilous undertaking in later chapters, and the goods available here are integral to the player's success in many cases.
The Item Room also provides the player with several quality of life features, such as Kirby's and his buddy's health, numbering the remaining floors, and giving an option to view player stats.

- The player can increase the item slots to four by obtaining an Item Selection Plus. This lasts the duration of the chapter.
