KURO

KURO (경준) is a South Korean solo singer-songwriter, rapper and producer. He debuted on April 7, 2019 with his debut digital single "#boysthesame".

Career

2019–2020: Debut and production beginnings

Prior to debuting under a label, KURO initially began producing music under the name GYUNGJOON and published his works online on his YouTube and SoundCloud.

KURO signed AllBlue Records sometime in early 2019. His first officially credited work in production was for the track "Call Me" by PicoVello in his album Self-Portrait Pt.2.

Soon after, KURO gained the opportunity to officially debuted as a singer-songwriter and producer on April 7, 2019 with his debut digital single, "#boysthesame". The song was previously published on his YouTube channel on October 11, 2018 but at the time he was not signed to any music label and the song was not distributed.

On July 14, KURO released his first mini album, #You, which featured singers yourbeagle and fellow label-mates Seo-Yeony and Hanul Lee.

KURO followed up by assisting with the production of the digital single "August" by Seo Actor & Dept which was released on August 16.

On December 6, KURO followed up by releasing his second mini album, Bleu.

On January 3, 2020, KURO released his second digital single, "Greed". On April 5, 2020, he released his third digital single, "Smile", and on April 19, he released his fourth digital single, "ABYS (Always By Your Side)". In between single releases, he assisted in the production of tracks for Hanul Lee's latest album BOYFROMSEOUL, and wrote lyrics for Terry and yourbeagle.

Personal life

KURO grew up in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. He attended Tokyo Korean High School in Japan. He currently attends Hongik University where he studied Visual Communications.
