Naniwa Danshi

Naniwa Danshi (なにわ男子) is a seven-member boy group founded by STARTO ENTERTAINMENT. They debuted on November 12, 2021, with their first single "UBU LOVE".

History

In September 2018, they were informed about their formation through a group message sent by their manager. On October 6, an idol magazine announced it to the public. On the 24 of the same month, they were introduced on the first-day performance of Kansai Johnny's Jr. "Fall in LOVE 〜Aki ni Kanju ni Koishichainayo〜". They were the first group to be formed under Kansai Johnny's Jr. after four years. Their member colors were decided through rock-paper-scissors except for Nishihata and Michieda, which were determined by their staff.

On July 29, 2023, Naniwa Danshi announced their fifth single "Make Up Day / Missing" to be released on September 13. The song "Make Up Day" will be featured as the theme song for Nippon TV's upcoming drama Beni Sasu Life starring Onishi Ryusei, while the song "Missing" will be featured as the theme song for TV Asahi's forthcoming drama Knockin' on Locked Door, starring Matsumura Hokuto (SixTONES) and Nishihata Daigo.^[1]

On October 4, 2023, their new song "I Wish" was announced to be featured as the theme song for the drama My Second Aoharu starring member Michieda on TBS.^[2] It will be released as their sixth single on November 15.
