Delight is the third studio album by miwa. It was released on May 22, 2013, in two editions: a first press limited edition (CD+DVD) and a regular edition (CD only).
The album contains a total of 11 songs, including singles from "Hikari e" to "Miracle". The song "Delight" was featured as an insert song for Fuji Television's film Rich Man, Poor Woman in New York. The song "Hikari e" is the theme song provided for the drama Rich Man, Poor Woman, while the song "Napa" was featured as its insert song. The song "Whistle ~Kimi to Sugoshita Hibi~" is a fight song written for the 91st National High School Soccer Tournament in Japan. The song "Miracle" was featured as the music in advertising of Shiseido SEA BREEZE. The song "Nukumori" is a song that miwa wrote for her mother.[1]
The first press limited edition comes with a DVD containing footage from the concert held at Zepp Tokyo on December 22, 2012, and the concert held at Shimokitazawa Loft on March 30, 2013, along with the music video of "Smile". It also enclosed with a three-sided box and a luxurious booklet. An advance ticket reservation leaflet with a serial number for an upcoming concert tour was also included in the album.
The album managed to win first place on both the Oricon's album charts and Billboard Japan album chart during its first week of release.[2][3] It also received gold certification from the RIAJ in the month of its release.
The album has won the 6th CD Shop Awards and the grand prize of Music Jacket Award 2014 for its album cover.
