Ryl (リル Riru?) is a female miniature pig Jewelpet who represents Mind and Body Purification.
Appearance
Ryl is a miniature pig with a light pink body and dark pink hooves and nose. Her Jewel Eyes are made out of red beryls. For her attire, she wears a white pearl necklace with a red heart-shaped beryl jewel attached around her neck.
In some series, she sometimes carries a mirror around, much like Garnet and Diana.
Charm Form
Ryl's Jewel Charm consists of a hexagonal barrel-shaped object with a white bottom. Along each face are trails of gem hearts formed in a vertical line. The top half of the charm is shaped like a viscous substance, decorated with various sweets.
The details have varying colors:
In the first series (1st picture), the base and the top are colored reddish pink, with the hearts being purple and the sweets having different colors.
In Twinkle☆ (2nd picture), the base is pink and the hearts are white, with the top fully colored in red. The sweets blend in with the top's full coloring, giving the illusion that it is partially submerged in the liquid.
Personality
According to the official website, Ryl is depicted as a positive and fashion-loving Jewelpet who often gets concerned about her weight.
In Jewelpet, Ryl is usually fashionable and prideful.
In Jewelpet Twinkle☆, she is described to be mean and despicable.
Ryl often ends her sentences with the word "buh".
Skills
As the Jewelpet of Mind and Body Purification, Ryl's magic spells can cleanse and remove any negativity from people's minds and/or their bodies. She can also calm their hearts when they are anxious.
History
In Jewelpet
Ryl is the partner of Megumi Hiroh, whom she appears to in episode 9 when Diana exacerbates her depression about not having a Jewelpet of her own. Megumi rejects her at first because she thinks Ryl is ugly, but then eventually warms up to her at the end.
In Jewelpet Twinkle☆
Ryl is the partner of Catherine Grand Maniel Chocola Julliangeli, one of the antagonists of the series. She considers Garnet as her main rival.

- Ryl's jewel motif is the red beryl, a variant of the mineral beryl which is also known as "red emerald" or "scarlet emerald".
- Her secondary motif is a red heart.
- Before the first anime released, Ryl was called "Lady" (レディ?) as her nickname, aside from her full name (the mineral name).
- If the nickname had been kept and become the current name, she would have been the second Jewelpet to not be named after her respective mineral, following King.
- Ryl is the second Jewelpet to have an interest in fashion, the first being Garnet.
- Depending on the seasons we can get different descriptions of Ryl power : mind and body purification, beauty, charm and aestheticism (Jewelpet season 1), dissmiss stress (Jewelpet Twinkle), serenity (Sega Toys charm)
