MI5

The Security Service, also known as MI5 (Military Intelligence, Section 5), is the United Kingdom's domestic counter-intelligence and security agency and is part of its intelligence machinery alongside the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), and Defence Intelligence (DI). MI5 is directed by the Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC), and the service is bound by the Security Service Act 1989. The service is directed to protect British economic interests and to counter terrorism and espionage within the United Kingdom (UK). The Republic of Ireland also falls within MI5's remit even though it fought and won its independence from the British.

Casino Royale (1967 film)

In this non-Eon film, MI5 and MI6 have been conflated with one another, and James Bond, M, Fordyce and Q all seem to work out of MI5. Its Q Branch operates out of the basement of Harrods.
