Silhouette

Silhouette (シルエット^?) is a maid who was imprisoned in Balduq Prison because of her eerie mask. Despite her appearance, she has a sensible and gentle personality. She used to work as a servant for Professor Vallin.

Appearance

Silhouette is a young woman with dark purple hair and green eyes. Part of her hair is worn in a braid. She dresses in an elaborate dark blue maid's outfit consisting of a headpiece, a white apron with a pink bunny embroidery, a dress with frills, puffed sleeves, white tights, dark purple leather boots, and a dark blue corset around her torso. She is usually seen wearing an eerie grey mask that covers most of her face.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

The Monstrums first encountered Silhouette alone in a prison cell, covering her face with her hands. She asks Adol to retrieve an item for her that turns out to be a mask, which she usually keeps wearing because it suppresses her innate ability to see the Lemures.

After she is freed from the prison by the Monstrums, she offers to procure ingredients or supplies for those at the Dandelion and acts as a shortcut for any discovered shops around the city.

Errand Runner After thinking of ways to help out, she offered to procure ingredients or supplies for those at the Dandelion. Sense of Gratitude With a glowing smile, she told of how indebted she was to Vallin, having received her mask from him three years back. Demasked... Eventually The folk remedy neither lasted long nor cured her condition. She and Adol decided to search anew for another solution.

• Her innate ability to see the Lemures is inherited from her ancestor, who used to be a Nors oracle.
• The mask she is wearing appears to have a similar effect as the Mask of Eyes in that it makes the monsters invisible; however, it does not seem to reveal any other hidden objects like passageways. She received this mask from her master Vallin three years ago, which is one of the reasons why she is devoted to serving him.
• She shares the same English voice actor with Saradhi and Reah in Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.
• If Adol does not finish the side quest that lets Silhouette to join the Dandelion, she will still appear in the bar but Dogi would be the one that got her out.
