Port Barbado is the starting town in Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished. It's a small port town on the island country of Esteria. The town started as a fishing village, but was soon plentiful with traders due to the large amount of Silver in Esteria. The Silver trade market collapsed once the Stormwall had appeared 6 months prior to the start of the game.
After monsters started appearing nearby, Slaff, son of Doctor Bludo, started the Militia, which meets in the town's warehouse. Adol Christin is brought here by Slaff after he washes ashore at Whitehorn Beach after coming from Promalock.
