The Sacred Island is the 255th chapter of InuYashamanga.
Synopsis
Inuyasha and friends have been following the scent of clean water and flowers that the golem had, hoping it will lead to Naraku. They haven't found anything yet.
There is an island in the middle of a lake, Hijiri Island, where the venerable monk, Hakushin, became a living Buddha. It is the village headman's job to take care of Hakushin's shrine. The group meets the village headman's son, Shintaro, who says his father left for the island half a month ago but never returned. They head out to the island on a boat with Shintaro to investigate.
When they arrive on the island, the ground is covered with flowers. Inuyasha says that this is exactly the same scent the Naraku golem had.
Kirara and Shippō start to feel ill, just like they did on Mount Hakurei. A purifying barrier just like mountain, only weaker, surrounds the island. Shintaro finds his father's bones.
Bankotsu emerges from the shrine, calling the whole place sickening, saying it must be even worse for a half demon like Inuyasha.
