Chapter 606

Nerves (不安, Fuan, "Anxiety") is the six hundred and sixth chapter of Initial D.

Plot

At the gas station, Iketani and Itsuki wonder what Sidewinder's downhill driver is like. Itsuki doubts that Takumi will have a tough time, but Iketani remembers something Kenji had said about Sidewinder having a racer who has specialised in his course, which he thinks is similar to Takumi's background. Itsuki doubts anyone could be like Takumi without having a parent like Bunta. Itsuki tells Iketani and Yuichi that he found golfing gloves in the Eight-Six, and says that after being the same for so long there's something coming between them. Neither Yuichi or Iketani think Itsuki and Takumi have much in common, outside of their age.

In Saitama, Takumi picks up Mika in the Eight-Six. He is surprised to see her in her school uniform, but she says she didn't have time to go home and change. He asks if they can still go golfing, and she tells him that she'll coach him.

At the golfing range, Takumi messes up his swing. An onlooker laughs at his mistake.
