Chapter 133

Turbo vs. Racing Engine! (ターボVS. レーシングチューン, Tābo VS. Rēshinguchūn, "Turbo vs. Racing Tune") is the one hundred and thirty-third chapter of Initial D.

Plot

Iketani says that Takumi needs to speak with Bunta about the engine, because without knowledge of how powerful it really is, he's at risk of damaging the engine.

Kazumi tells Wataru that she wants to stay in Gunma, and apologises for staying out all night. Wataru tells her that she needs to talk to their parents, as they dont see it the same way as he does. She agrees to talk to them.

Takumi tells Itsuki about the race with Wataru, and asks him to come along as backup. He agrees, and Takumi says he'll pick him up at 9:45.

At the Fujiwara Tofu Store, Takumi tells Bunta he's racing in the Eight-Six, and that he needs to know how high he can rev the engine. Bunta says it can go to 11k, and tells him to win.

At the gas station Masashi is worried Bunta will be angry at him for letting Takumi and Iketani fit the new tachometer. Yuichi tells him that it was his decision to call him, and that it should be fine because Bunta had asked for the parts to begin with.

Both Eight-Sixes drive down the Kan-etsu Expressway. Takumi tells Itsuki that he'd only agreed to race if he could pick the course, and that he'd picked one in Saitama.
