Electronic Detectives Division (EDD) – This department of the NYPSD is responsible for investigating electronic crimes; electronic tools used in the committing of crimes; and personal electronics of victims, suspects, and criminals. Officers may work on computers (including tearing apart and rebuilding); play and copy discs from confiscated units for investigations.
