The Picky is a species of pig animal. The Pickies are constantly captured by the Eggman Empire to use as batteries to power various Badniks.
History
Usage by the Eggman Empire
A Picky was used to power E-107 Theta. Fortunately, that Picky was freed when Theta was destroyed by Sonic the Hedgehog, Silver the Hedgehog, and Whisper the Wolf. (StH: #8)
An unfortunate Picky was later used by Dr. Eggman and Dr. Starline as a test subject for the Metal Virus in the Final Egg. As a part of this test, the terrified Picky was touched by a Pocky that had been turned into a Zombot. This caused the virus to slowly infect the Picky as well. (StH: #13)
Appearance
The Picky is a small and rotund pig slightly less than half a meter tall. They are humanoid in anatomy as they stand on two legs. They have light pink skin and possess large round heads with two large black eyes, triangular ears, and small stubby snouts. Other features include relatively small torsos, thin and short arms with fingers, stubby legs with long feet and two cloven for toes, and a short coiled tail each.
Personality
The Picky is a peaceful species. It is not known to fight, as it is constantly captured by the Eggman Empire.
Abilities
The Picky can only speak in a language consisting of swine-sounding noises. The Ricky is also intelligent enough to understand normal language.
Background Information
- The Ricky was based on the species of the same name in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. It was unnamed in the comic, but its name is considered tier 2 canon by this site's canon policy, as it does not contradict already established canon from tier 1.
