The Circus was a monkey-based badnik that was created by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik.
History
Past
After Sonic the Hedgehog managed to defeat Dr. Eggman in their previous encounter, the doctor disappeared. However, his robot forces remained and continued to attack without a leader. (StH: #1) After Dr. Eggman recovered his memories, all the badniks, including the Cricuses, came under his control again.

- Circuswere enemies that first appeared Sonic Advanced 2. In the games they wielded a big circus ball that they would hold with their feet and throw it enemies.
- A similar monkey based badnik was used by the Classic Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, known as Coconuts. It is unknown if there is a modern equivalent of Coconuts.
- Although not necessarily related, Circus are similar to that of Coconuts, one of which appeared in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
Appearance
These robots are typically shaped like monkeys and feature black pupils. It is unknown what sort of color they are due, to being in shadow where they were in the flashback.
