The Beat is a line of Badnik created by Dr. Eggman to serve as part of his robot forces in his efforts to conquer the world.
Overview
The Beat is an ovoid-shaped Badnik modelled after a mite. It has a pink and grey body, two white eyes with black pupils, and a pair of short antennae. It moves about on a pair of thick, cylindrical legs adorned with danger stripes.
Beats are produced en masse within certain Eggman Empire bases, emerging from the walls in great numbers. They will swarm intruders, clambering over each other in order to surround a target before self-detonating, blowing themselves up and the intruder along with them.
