Melinda is the mother of Jona, Foreman's solo patient in the episode Emancipation, and Jona's older brother Evan. She was portrayed by actress Alexandra Lydon.
Unlike many of the other parents on the series, Melinda was co-operative and looked to the doctors for guidance. However, when Foreman told her that Jona had gotten iron toxicity from taking too many vitamin pills, she said she only gave Jona one a day. Foreman told her he believed her and found out Evan had given Jona the extra vitamins.
