Thornmarsh is a settlement in Horizon Forbidden West. It is the capital of the Tenakth's Lowland Clan.
Description
Thornmarsh is the capital and largest settlement of the Lowland Clan built directly above a marsh, situated near the coast, north of the Cliffs of the Cry.
As a clan capital, Thornmarsh hosts a Melee Pit for training. The local Stitcher, Okka, is the sole source of the Tenakth Tactician and Utaru Winterweave outfits. All wildlife loot can be purchased from its Herbalist.
History
Thornmarsh is notable for being the birthplace of the Tenakth's Chief, Hekarro.[1]
Thornmarsh was hit hard by the red blight, as well as toxic algae blooms that plagued much of the Lowland, dubbed Blood Choke by the locals. Hekarro sent Fashav to meet with Atekka and investigate, but he found himself unable to help.[1]
Horizon Forbidden West
After Aloy retrieved POSEIDON, the Blood Choke in most of the Lowland cleared up, with the exception of Thornmarsh.[2] Atekka sent a squad upriver to investigate why, but they never returned. Aloy and Atekka went after them and found the squad and a rebel camp, using several dead machines to dam the river, preventing clean water from flushing out the Blood Choke in Thornmarsh. With Aloy's help, Atekka destroyed the dam, allowing the river to flow fully again, clearing up the water around Thornmarsh for good.[3]
