The Spurflints are an unmarked location in Horizon Zero Dawn. They are located south of Cauldron RHO.
Description
The Spurflints are a series of cliff walls which make up the southeastern edge of the Sundom. The cliff walls have a distinctive zigzag structure, which gets more uniform with each ascending layer.
The climate is typically dry and arid, although some flora and fauna still manages to grow here.
Trivia
- The Spurflints appear to be a conflation of the Comb Ridge in the Comb Wash and the San Rafael Reef in the San Rafael Swell, both triangular rock chains in Utah.[1] The latter would be more correct in geographic relation to the identification of The Jewel as Monument Valley, the former for Eagle Canyon.
- The Spurflints have a significant amount of Tramplers compared to other regions.
