Korah (died 1491 BC) was an Israelite who took part in the Exodus in 1491 BC. The son of Izhar, the great-grandson of Levi, and the brother of Nepheg and Zichri, he and 249 others took part in a rebellion against Moses when Dathan convinced the nonbelieving Jews to build and worship a golden calf. All of the nonbelievers were killed when God caused an earthquake, killing them and destroying their possessions.
