Yugo Ogami

Yugo Ogami also known as Yugo the Wolf, is the main protagonist from the Bloody Roar series. His beast form is the wolf and he's currently the leader and founder of the organisation World of Co-Existence.

Yugo appeared in the first installement, Bloody Roar. He is considered to be the main protagonist for the series, and he's often viewed as the series' character mascot.

He was voiced by Nobutoshi Canna in the first game, Hideo Ishikawa between Bloody Roar 2 up to Bloody Roar: Extreme, and Akimitsu Takase in Bloody Roar 4 in the Japanese version, and by David Babich in the first two games, Barry Gjerde in Bloody Roar 3, Michael J. Gough in Primal Fury (Extreme's Overseas Release) and Rob Narita in Bloody Roar 4 in the English version.

In the Bloody Roar 2 redub, he was voiced by Edward Bosco.

Story

Yugo's quest to uncover the mysterious circumstances of his father's disappearance led him to Tylon Coroporation's secret research institution. He learns that his father was kidnapped and forced to become a test subject for Tylon's zoanthrope weapons plans. To avenge his father, Yugo destroys the research institute together with Gado.

After surveying the destruction of the research facility, Yugo found a young boy in the midst of the smoke and rubble. Instincts told Yugo that the boy was a man-made zoanthrope - probably the result of a Tylon Corporation experiment. Together with the boy, whom Yugo named "Kenji", Yugo returned to Japan and continued his professional boxing career.

Though he keeps his zoanthrope nature a secret, the life of a boxer satisfies Yugo's fighting instincts well. Kenji has no memory of his life before Yugo, but seems happy to be under his care. All is well until one day, Kenji is abducted right before Yugo's eyes by a man who claims to be the scientific genius, Busuzima, who is responsible for the experiments of the man-made zoanthrope assassins. Apparently, Kenji is the sole succesor to Tylon's former top assassin, Bakuryu. Yugo is thrusted into another dangerous quest - this time to save a young boy whose future lies in his hands.

Personality

Yugo is very aggressive, impulsive and short tempered; he is also somewhat childish and very upbeat, as seen in Bloody Roar 4 when in every scene he smiled cheerfully and also Yugo has some heroic tendencies. Despite his hot-tempered nature however, Yugo is actually a caring and kind-hearted man who hates injustice and will always lend a hand to anyone who needs it. Yugo is also very protective of his level-headed brother Kenji. He is very playful around him, as seen in Primal Fury and Extreme, putting Kenji in a playful noogie in Kenji's ending.
