The Boys are the titular main protagonists of the controversial adult comic book series of the same name as well as its Amazon TV adaptation. They are a vigilante, CIA black ops team tasked with policing, monitoring, and potentially stop the corrupt superhero group, The Seven. The group was founded by Greg Mallory and is led by the violent vigilante, Billy Butcher.
The comic book series created by writer Garth Ennis and illustrator Darick Robinson. The live adaptation of the series was developed by Eric Kripke for exclusive viewing on Amazon Prime Video.
History
Comics
After a tragic accident caused by a Supe that killed the girlfriend of Hughie Campbell (a Scottish man), Billy Butcher recruited him and reunited The Boys to take revenge on the Supes. Consisting of Mother's Milk (an American ex-Marine), Frenchie (a former French soldier), and The Female of the Species (a Japanese accidental experiment), The Boys use their mastery and skills to take back and expose the disgusting truth of the Supes.
TV Series
Hughie was an American citizen whose girlfriend Robin Ward was killed by A-Train when Billy met him. And before that it was the only thing that his friends will know that they will kill and stop all the supes at once. Before that he must confront the dangerous superhero of all time, Homelander who will look for the disappearance when Billy saw her.
For the majority of season 3, The Boys have come to a crossroads after Butcher and Hughie choose to team up with Soldier Boy in order to take down Homelander, much to MM’s and Starlight’s frustration and annoyance. After Soldier Boy goes rogue, the whole team reunite to stop Soldier Boy’s thirst for revenge; which results in Homelander living on to fight another day. After the battle, the rest of the team make Starlight an official member, much to Butcher’s irritation.
In season 4, Butcher tries to regain control over his team, but they refuse to take orders from him anymore due to all the crap he’s pulled on them. In the season finale, The Boys plan to team up with Victoria Neuman to take down Homelander once and for all. But their plans are thwarted by Butcher, who reveals startling new superpowers to them and uses his new abilities to brutally kill Neuman. With Butcher thwarting their own efforts to defeat Homelander and him making off with the Supe killing virus, The Boys are forced to split up as they are now being hunted by Homelander and his forces. In the end, most of the team are captured and taken into Homelander’s custody, with only Starlight escaping, and Butcher going into hiding as he prepares to bring about the end of all Supes, including himself, Homelander and his son Ryan.
Throughout The Boys Series
It was created by the comic book creators Garth Ennis & Darick Robertson. Because it created by 8 episodes of the Boys series in every way. It has alot of violence and gore and swearing, just in case. There was a vigilante boy series in the show only to be the parody of Superman, Wonder-Woman & Green Lantern. But it was the fact that there the most vigilante shows like it already had to conclude with.
