Tennessee, more commonly called Tenn, is a major character in The Walking Dead: The Final Season by Telltale Games.

He is a kind and idealistic child who lives at Ericson's Boarding School. He's also the adoptive brother of the twin sisters Minerva and Sophie.

He is voiced by Zaire Hampton.

History

In the past, Tenn was adopted and lived with his two sisters Minerva and Sophie before the three of them went to boarding school at Ericson. At some point during the apocalypse, Tenn's sisters disappeared, and Marlon told him they were dead.

We see Tenn for the first time when he opens the door to the dormitory where Clementine was. But she was already out and can approach him calmly or violently. In the evening, he is seen laying flowers on the graves of his sisters with Violet. Afterwards, Alvin Jr. watches him drawing over dinner and the two seem to have hit it off. The next day, Tenn plays with figurines in Marlon's office and briefly argues with Alvin Jr.. During the night, Tenn and all the others witness the confrontation between Marlon and Clementine. Tenn learns with shock that Marlon gave his sisters to the raiders and the teenager apologizes for it. After Marlon's death at the hands of AJ, Tenn is one of the few to show sympathy towards Clementine and AJ. When the kids vote on what to do with them, Tenn votes for them to stay but the majority wants them to leave, which frustrates him.

When they return, Tenn is happy and stands guard with AJ while the others prepare to fight the raiders. Tenn asks AJ if he thinks Minnie and Sophie will be with the Delta when they arrive, to which AJ replies he doesn't know, but possibly.

During the confrontation, he gets tricked by Lilly who mentions Minerva and the fight breaks out. While attempting to save him, Mitch is stabbed in the throat by Lilly and a few children are abducted. The next day, an enraged Willy violently pushes Tenn away and angrily blames him for Mitch's death. Hurt, Tenn runs off in guilt. At a party hosted by Ruby, Willy reconciles with Tenn and shows him the bomb he started building.

Afterwards, Tenn joins the rescue mission and meets James before Violet tells him about Minerva's situation. Before going into action, Tenn tells Clementine that if she sees Minnie, he says he forgives her for her betrayal. It is later seen that Tenn has been captured and is taken to the deck of the boat with James and AJ. When Lilly threatened to kill James, Tenn grabbed a raider's gun and pointed it at Lilly though he was unable to shoot. That's when Clementine joins the fight and AJ ends up grabbing the gun and pointing it at Lilly. As James tells him not to kill her, Tenn encourages him to do so but it depends on Clementine's choice.

Whatever happens, the ship explodes, and Tenn flees into a cave with Clem, AJ and James (determinant). He can witness the confrontation between James and Clem before leaving the cave where they find Violet/Louis. Along the way, he reveals that Aasim was the third kid who voted for Clem and AJ to stay. When Minerva confronts the small group on the covered bridge, she easily manipulates Tenn into trying to join her while she is dying. If Clem trusts AJ, he shoots Tenn who is devoured by Walkers, but if not, Louis/Violet dies saving Tenn. If Tenn dies, AJ sees him as a walker at the end of the episode and can either decide to take him away or shoot him. If Tenn lives, he finds AJ near the fishing shack and gives him Clementine's lost cap. He also apologizes for his naive behavior and asks AJ to teach him how to defend himself to survive better against walkers. Tenn is last seen at the boarding school with the other kids, and he can learn how to use a gun if AJ will show him.

Personality

Tennessee is an optimistic, sweet and idealistic young boy. However, he is also ignorant and often causes difficulties for the group despite himself. This is the case for the first time when he lets himself be convinced by Lilly to find Minerva, but also in the last episode where he tries to join Minerva on the bridge and can have Louis/Violet killed. He is a dreamer and believes in paradise. He thinks it's a second world where everyone comes together and those who have become Walkers become human again. He also hopes that the apocalypse will one day disappear as an age in history.

Trivia

• Tenn has a large burn scar on the right side of his face, and he got it during the outbreak.
