Sara Tachibana is one of the supporting characters of the 2012 yuri manga Citrus and its 2018 anime adaptation.
She is voiced by Hisako Kanemoto in the Japanese version and Felecia Angelle in the English dub.
Citrus
Despite her young appearance, Sara is actually the older sister of Nina Tachibana. Sara made her appearance in chapter 13 of the manga entitled "winter of love." After a misunderstanding between Yuzu and Mei, Yuzu inadvertently ends up missing her class, and coincidentally meets up with Sara at the train station. Much like Yuzu, Sara winds up getting lost whilst attending a field trip with her class.
When Mei helped her find her way through the station, this leads to Sara developing a crush on the dark-haired girl. At first, Sara doesn't realize that Yuzu was in love with the same girl that she was. Instead, Sara is completely supportive of Yuzu's crush, and encourages her to confess even if that meant potential heartbreak. This leads to some tension between Yuzu and Nina; after she overhears Yuzu trying to confess to Mei, Nina takes it upon herself to ensure that her sister got together with Mei.
Building up courage, Sara confronts Mei, and confesses to her. Still hurt over her episode with Yuzu, Mei accepts her feelings, and the two proceed to go on a "date." Yuzu finds the couple and tries to get to Mei only to be stopped by Nina who stood in her way. Sara asks Mei for permission to kiss her, only to think back to the public baths where she discovered Yuzu's student ID. Connecting the dots, Sara willingly ends the relationship so that Yuzu could confess to her stepsister. The only condition she assigns to Mei is that she hold hands with Yuzu in public.
Personality
Sara is a cheerful young girl noted for her superstitious beliefs, believing that her meeting up with Yuzu at the train station was luck as well as her initial meeting with Mei. She cares deeply for others, sometimes to the point of sacrificing her happiness for others. This is accentuated by her ending the relationship between her and Mei of her own volition because she took Yuzu's feelings for Mei into account.
