Regular Army is a protagonist military organization of Metal Slug series. It is a world government coalition force used for various tasks such as peacekeeping and fending off terrorism. However, they always try to avoid direct conflict, working more with diplomacy. Because of this, when conflict is inevitable, they will work through many of their special operation squads and intelligence divisions, even hiring mercenaries if deemed necessary. They are at war with the Rebellion Army, Martians, Venusians, Ptolemaic Army and other global threats for the most part.
