Nightfall is a major protagonist in Final Space, serving as a major protagonist in Season 1, the tritagonist of Season 2, and the posthumous overarching protagonist of Season 3.
She is an alternate version of Quinn Ergon from an alternate timeline, who came back in time with the help of Bolo to stop Invictus and the Titans from escaping Final Space like what happened in her timeline. Nightfall ended up sacrificed herself to break Bolo free from his prison in Inner Space.
Like her main timeline version, Nightfall is voiced by Tika Sumpter.
Appearance
Her facial appearance is the exact look of Quinn's, with only a small piece of technology on the right side of her forehead and a gray part of her hair giving her a slightly different look. Nightfall also has several scars on the right side of her face. She also appears to have greyish blue eyes. She wears mostly a bounty hunter-esc uniform, only to be used in order for her to aboard the ship.
Personality
Unlike Quinn, Nightfall is somewhat relaxed and is not as quite stubborn. However, she is shown to be protective of Gary, similar to Quinn, as she's been attempting to prevent the outcome of him dying for 20 years. Also unlike present day Quinn, she is more open with her affection for Gary; her love transcends time and dimension, as despite the Gary she met not being *her* Gary, she attempted to consummate their relationship due to unfilled needs from the parallel timeline, however, she respected his wishes when he didn't want to "cheat" on his era's Quinn.
She is seen to be quite brash when it comes to doing necessary things on missions and adventures, and is known to use brute force if needed. She is initially more ruthless and willing to risk collateral damage, and willing to destroy a threat before it actually did anything wrong. However, her time with the present day Team Squad, her hardened heart became soft once again, and she began to believe in Gary's more compassionate methods, even against her own doubts.
However, during the course of season two, she is seen sticking with the crew to ensure that the timeline will go as planned. During this time she grows close to the crew of the Crimson Light, especially with Ash Graven who she seemed to have developed a sort of parental bond with. This ultimately comes to a head in "The Sixth Key", where she sacrifices her life to free Bolo and so no other members of the crew would have to. Ash is seen holding onto her helmet at the end of the episode.

- It was revealed during Chapter 7 that Nightfall is indeed Quinn from the future, 20 years older than Present Quinn.
- Her death is one of the traumatic factors that enabled Invictus to turn Ash towards its evil side.
