Minerva Orland is a major recurring heroine of manga/anime, Fairy Tail, and the secondary antagonist of the Grand Magic Games arc. She is the daughter of the former Guild Master of Sabertooth, Jiemma. However, Minerva was raised harshly and fiendishly by her father when he never truly cared about her and called her weak for being too soft. She left Sabertooth to join the Tartaros with her father until she was defeated and later disposed when she is no longer needed. In the end, she was disowned by Jiemma as his daughter and later rejoined Sabertooth when she was saved by Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney.
She is voiced by Kikuko Inue in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Anastasia Muñoz in the English version.
History
Minerva is the daughter of Jiemma, and the most powerful member of Sabertooth. However, during her childhood, she was raised by her abusive father harshly and calling her weak. Her multi-dimensional magic, Territory, gives her absolute control over everything she sees. Like the rest of her guild, Minerva embodies her father's creed of "survival of the fittest", cruelly stamping out those who oppose her. Her obsession with strength eventually drives her to join Succubus Eye and later Tartaros, where she is transformed into a demon. However, when Sting and Rogue rescue her during the battle of Tartaros, she returns to Saber Tooth for good.
Following the X791 Grand Magic Games, she leaves Sabertooth and becomes a Dark Mage of Succubus Eye. She later becomes a new recruit to the Dark Guild Tartaros, where she refers to herself as Neo Minerva. After being rescued by Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney she rejoins Sabertooth.
