Stuart Louis "Lou" Pickles Sr. (Born November 8, 1915) is the father of Stu Pickles and Drew Pickles, also the grandfather of Tommy Pickles, Dil Pickles and Angelica Pickles and the father-in law of Charlotte Pickles and Didi Pickles and the husband of Lulu Pickles. He is one of three overarching protagonists of the Rugrats franchise (alongside Stu and Didi).
He was voiced by the late David Doyle and the late Joe Alasky before he was voiced by Billy West since 2015 and will be voiced by Michael McKean in the upcoming reboot.
Bio
The elder patriarch of the Pickles family, young at heart, he likes to be adventurous. He was a Private First-Class during World War II and was also stationed in Pearl Harbor both before and during the Pearl Harbor attacks but was asleep when it first happened. Despite that, he still does try his best to be of help to the family, even willing to help them find the babies after fleeing in Reptar.
Other Information
Occasionally, he flirts with women. He is commonly thought of as having a wild imagination from the many stories he tells of his earlier years. In the early episodes, he was voiced by the late David Doyle. After Doyle's death, the late Joe Alaskey voices Lou Pickles in the later episodes until the end of the series.
Appearance
Lou Pickles has gray hair and is often shown wearing a purple shirt and a green vest. He looks just like his son Drew Pickles when he was younger, but as he got older, he now looks more like his other son Stuart Pickles.

Trivia
- In the original pilot, Grandpa Lou's name was Stu Pickles, Sr.
- As mentioned earlier, Lou was asleep during the Pearl Harbor attack as stated by Didi in the movie, despite him saying he "sounded the alarm as soon as I could!" as to him also being asleep when the babies fled.
