Nemo nicknamed Little Nemo is the main titular protagonist of the 1905-1911 1911-14 1924-27 comic strip of the same name. He is a child who dreams that he's in a kingdom called Slumberland.
In the comic strip, he gets taken into the magical world of Slumberland. Nemo is brought into Slumberland to be the playmate of The Princess. He is also accompanied by a trickster named Flip. As the series progresses, he is accompanied by other new characters, such as the dark-skinned Impie from the Candy IsIands, The Professor from New York, and Doctor Pill, who works for the royal family.
In the 1989 film, he is voiced by Gabriel Damon who also voiced Littlefoot in the first film of The Land Before Time.
Biogtaphy
1911 film
In the film. Nemo magically materializes. Nemo prevents Flip & Impie from fighting and takes control of their forms—he stretches and squashes them with the raising and lowering of his arms. Nemo then draws the Princess and brings her to animated life. He gives her a rose which has suddenly grown nearby, just as a gigantic dragon appears. The pair seat themselves on a throne in the dragon's mouth and wave to the audience as the dragon carries them away.
1989 film
The film differs a bit from the comic, Nemo gets a pet flying squirrel named Icarus. Asleep one night after unsuccessfully trying to take a slice of pie, he is invited to the magical world of Slumberland by Professor Genius and Bon-bon. Nemo is brought into Slumberland to be the "playmate" of Princess Camille. It is soon revealed he was brought to the heir to King Morpheus. But while being groomed as heir of Slumberland, Nemo discovers a trickster named Flip who offers him all sorts of adventures in Slumberland. Nemo, wishing to explore and have fun in Slumberland, engages in numerous exploits though-out Slumberland. Eventually Flip and Nemo inadvertently free a great evil called the Nightmare King and Nemo must strive to make the situation tight and save Slumberland. He finds the Professor, & goes to Slumberland to find Camille & Flip whom is forced to accompanied them. They arrive at Nightmareland & they meet the Goblins. They later get kidnapped by the Nightmare Kings creatures. Nemo battles the Nightmare King & wins, but at the cost of his own life. While Everyone mourns Nemo's death, King Morpheus revives him. Nemo leaves Slumberland & wakes up.
