Kanon Shibuya is the titular main protagonist of the anime and manga series, Love Live! Super Star!!. She is the leader of the group of Liella!, a first-year middle school of the Yuigaoka Girls' High School, and her image color is orange. She is also is the older sister of Aria Shibuya.
She was voiced by Sayuri Date.
Appearance
Kanon is a teenage young girl with has long orange curly hair and purple eyes. She wears a white shirt with her covered on the dark blue jacket, a red ribbon tie on her medium, a grey dress school uniform, black tights, a grey and silver belt on the middle on the side and brown shoes.
Personality
Kanon is a flustered and very shy girl, when she seem being somewhat not on the communicating at her front in others. Basically, she running at the town that she could listen to the music and the headphones, and could finding her missing singer on her talk to learn the song. Perhaps Kanon will practice to sing at the front in people, she was very nervous particularly at said so. Her seen being as despite her ordinary didn't not aspirations or particular talents from the life, she wish at the people are cheering up during the favorite songs. Despite her to became the school idol if that so away to do herself, and tries to not to break it for merely seen her sample normal. Now she even become a cutest girly outfits will although look at it, she just kinda apprehensive and shy able her has everything too slightly and frilly released.

- She is the first idol with an orange image color to not be a smile attribute, and currently the only one not to be a second year.
- Kanon's family's cafe was initially modeled after Cafe Casa, an actual cafe located in Shibuya. However, the owner did not fully agree with Love Live staff to use the building's likeness, and due to several incidents involving the Love Live fanbase such as some Japanese fans review-bombing the establishment and elaborate cosplayers taking unauthorized photo shoots on the premises, the owners and anime staff came to an agreement that they would no longer use the building as Kanon's home in the anime series, and it was changed to not further resemble Casa Cafe.
- The headphones Kanon wore in the Anime is the WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Over-The-Ear Headphones by Sony. The color variation she uses is the limited edition "Silent White" color.
- Unlike the character design and the illustrated visuals seen until the 9th volume of the Love Live! Days magazines, later depictions of Kanon is shown wearing mid-calf socks instead of tights.
- The Super Special Series Kanon figurine by FuRyu is the only PVC figure depicted with her tights.
- Kanon wears glasses, though only at home.
- Even though she does not want to be a fashion-concious person, Kanon always does her hair carefully in the morning. At home, sometimes she ties her hair up as seen in the anime.
- Kanon had always taken her bangs for granted until she became a school idol, and it became her signature after receiving numerous compliments on how cute they were.
- She often sings out loud while taking a bath, which annoys her mother and younger sister.
- She often confess to Manmaru about things she would rather not say to others. She said she would always be honest everytime she looked into Manmaru's round eyes.
- When she cannot think of new ideas for writing lyrics or essays, she often do a yoga pose, which she calls the "concentrating pose".
- In her introduction bio, Kanon is shown to have a grandmother is from Spain. As of October 2022, Kanon's Spanish ancestry is considered as non-existent in current media, as neither this nor her grandma was mentioned.
