Story

Season 2

Originally, the team members got separately acquainted to Jackie and Jade during the their first quest for Shendu's talismans. The team was organized when Shendu, as a ghost, accidentally possessed Valmont and went after the Pan'ku Box. Since Valmont's Enforcer lackeys were armed with Shendu's talismans at that time, Jade declared that reinforcements were needed, and summoned Viper and El Toro for assistance. Despite Jackie's objections, the additional help proved highly useful in battling the Enforcers, though the team was unable to prevent the Box from being stolen (although they managed to regain the talismans in the bout).

In Demon World Part 2, Jade, Uncle, and Jackie escape from Shendu's palace with a few talismans taken from Shendu. Using Jade's memories of the Immortal symbols, they embark on a mission to find the other members of the J-Team and manage to banish half of the Demons in the process.

Jade, Paco, and Uncle eventually find the portal to the Book of Ages, but are interrupted by the captive-carrying demons before they can find the page Shendu altered. Thinking quickly, Jade uses the power of the book to help her friends, causing Jackie to grow to twenty feet in height while endowing Tohru and Viper with other supernatural abilities. She and Paco then briefly clash over empowering Jackie and El Toro with the book, until Uncle has them use it to grant him the power to banish the four remaining demons. Uncle then locates the altered page, and Jade reattaches the corner she tore away, causing a rippling magical effect.

The Chans and Tohru find themselves back at Jade's parents' home in Hong Kong, as they were before Shendu returned. However, all of them recall the events of the altered timeline, and they are inexplicably joined by El Toro, Paco, and Viper as well. Fortunately, Jade's parents remember nothing of Jackie's behavior while possessed by Shendu, and Jackie subtly acknowledges Jade's heroism.

Season 3

In Re-Enter the J-Team, Jackie is tasked by Captain Black to infiltrate the island headquarters of a criminal mastermind by taking part in a martial arts tournament he is hosting. Jade suggests sending in the J-Team for the mission. As the J-Team is assembled, Jade gives each member a codename, but Jackie refuses to allow her to join. However, Jade once again defies Jackie and appears during the tournament. El Toro is up first for jujitsu but forgets he's not doing lucha libre, as he attempts to perform his "bounce-off-the-ropes" maneuver and falls out of the ring. Jade then tells Jackie that she signed him up for the iron fist competition, as she thought he wanted to avoid hand-to-hand combat. Viper asks a fellow competitor how Chang lost his hand, to which he answers with "iron fist competition". Jackie then breaks both of his hands on the second set of stones during the tiebreaker. Viper is third up but cannot fight well in her cumbrous tournament clothes and falls to her opponent. Lastly is Tohru, who has to face a much larger sumo. Nervously approaching the ring, Tohru recites his "think big" mantra provided to him by Jade. Despite his smaller size, Tohru is able to lift his opponent high into the air in a colossal display of sheer determination before throwing him out of the ring, effectively declaring him the champion.

As night draws in, the referee summons Tohru for a tour of Chang's facilities, with Jade following incognito. As they walk through Chang's hidden facility concealed behind a hidden entrance disguised as a bookcase, Jade accidentally falls asleep and loses her cover. Tohru spots her and warns the J-Team via the bug on his robe collar. Jackie fears that she may compromise the mission and goes to get her. Unfortunately, Jackie is attacked by the referee during his search, but manages to defeat his opponent in addition to unlocking the hidden passage. He then spots Jade crawl into a vent and follows. But he accidentally emerges right out into the middle of the tour. Enraged at his intrusion, Chang demands an explanation from Jackie, who tries to explain he is looking for Jade (his niece), but Chang suspects him of being a spy and orders Tohru to dispose of him. As Tohru picks Jackie up, instead of throwing him on some stalagmites below, he throws him at Chang and the competition winners. Jackie and Tohru make a break for it and try prying open a set of metal doors, only for Jade to open them from the other side, having discovered Chang's stolen collection of jade artifacts. El Toro and Viper join the party and they and Jackie have a re-match against the competition winners who had beaten them in the tournament. Viper is able to fight better in her jumpsuit and gets some well-deserved payback against her opponent. She and Tohru then hold up a rope for El Toro to properly perform his wrestling move. He and Tohru then slam tackle Jackie's opponent on his behalf, due to his injured hands.

Chang then whistles for his henchmen, disguised as charity workers, to take care of the J-Team. However, a trio of sumos come to their aid after their leader is humbled by his defeat at Tohru's hands. Jackie and Jade pursue Chang, who replaces his jade hand prosthetic with a finger-tipped bladed one. Jade tosses Jackie Chang's other hands, containing both a toothbrush and a spoon. After a long and arduous fight, Jackie emerges victorious.

Back at Section 13, Black expresses hope that the J-Team will be ready for future missions; they agree. Jade then asks if she's now an official member of the team. Black tells her that the "J" in J-Team stands for more than just Jackie. Jackie then gives her an approving thumbs-up.

Season 4

In The J-Tots, Chang escapes from prison after forming an Anti-J-Team. The J-Team are dispatched to confront them, anticipating that Chang will attempt to reclaim his stolen jade from the museum. When Jackie tells Jade to stay put, she casts a spell on the team, intending to gain authority over them, but the spell doesn't work the way she had planned.

In Ninja Twilight, The final Oni Mask is located and brought back to Section 13. A hidden danger is uncovered, and all the Oni Generals are released, and the masks are destroyed. The J-Team's only hope of saving the world rests on defeating Tarakudo himself, once and for all.

Season 5

In The Powers That Be Part 2, the J-Team prepare for the final fight against the powerful Drago. They all try and go for the demon, but the Ice Crew appear, also ready to fight. At Section 13, Uncle and the four Enforcers arrive and see the place in ruins. The Enforcers say how they claim they never liked the place, but Uncle makes them dig anyway. Back at the baseball field, the J-Team fight the Ice Crew and are getting beaten. Drago then uses the same spell from the previous episode to open a rift from the Demon Netherworld that releases a swarm of lesser demons. Jade appears at the field acompanied by Mordecai with his Pig Talisman, Eggbert with his Rooster Talisman, and Super Moose with the Rat Talisman. She then gives Viper the Snake Talisman, El Toro the Ox Talisman, Captain Black the Dragon Talisman, Jackie the Rabbit Talisman, and herself the Dog Talisman.

Amidst the rubble of Section 13, the Enforcers lift up a rock, in which Tohru was under. This makes Uncle happy, until he hears of what happened to Jade before Section 13 fell. But Tohru wasn't the reinforcement Uncle had in mind, so the Enforcers keep digging. Meanwhile, Jackie (Rabbit) and Cobra (Wind) face off, and Captain Black (Dragon) gets back at Ice (Earth) for destroying his van earlier. Jade uses a baseball machine against Drago's demon minions. Paco asks to receive a talisman to fight with too, but Jade tricks him into taking the non-combative Sheep Talisman, knocking him out. As the fight ensues, Shendu suddenly strides into the stadium, accompanied by Uncle, Tohru and the Enforcers, wanting revenge on his son for betraying him at the beginning of the season. This escalates quickly into a huge fight in the baseball stadium. Drago appears to possess the upper hand because of the eight demon chi while Shendu does not have his talismans. Jade worries that Shendu won't win, then she makes the announcement for everyone to give their talismans to Shendu. They do, and this makes the match between Shendu and Drago evenly balanced.

While watching the battle, Tohru suggests that if they can't remove the demon chi from Drago, maybe they could remove Drago from the Earth, which means this is a banishment spell, and Uncle adds that it will be big. They both take a piece of squid and use the main incantation spell to send Drago, Shendu, the demon chi, and the other lesser demons back to the Netherworld, while also reverting the Ice Crew back to human form. Drago is on the verge of falling when he pleads with his father to help him. Shendu is hesitant but reaches over to help his son. It is another trick by Drago, as he attempts to throw his father into the Netherworld. Shendu catches on Drago's tail, pulling them both in and Tohru and Uncle seal the portal. The Ice Crew prepare to sneak away, but are caught by Paco and El Toro. While everyone is celebrating, Uncle informs Tohru that he is now a full chi wizard. Captain Black tells Jade how well her strategic thinking was to give the Talismans to Shendu and how she can now be a Section 13 agent. She asks Jackie and he responds, "We'll talk later." She's happy at first but then she thinks that means no and everyone starts laughing with her.
