Gisele Yashar is a major character of the Fast and Furious franchise.
She is a former liaison for Arturo Braga and a member of Dominic Toretto's crew.
Gisele is portrayed by Gal Gadot, who also portrays Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe and voices Shank in Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Biography
Gisele is the Liaison for the primary antagonist Arturo Braga. However, Gisele developed romantic feelings for Dominic, despite him not reciprocating. Gisele continued to work for her boss, however, after Dom saved her life when Braga almost ran her over, she returned the favor by giving the location of Braga's hideout in Mexico.
Gisele returned in the fifth and sixth films, now operating as a member of Dom's team, as opposed to an enemy. She helps them out with the Rio Heist and develops a relationship with Han Seoul-Oh.
During a fight with Owen Shaw's team, Gisele was seemingly killed in the process.
Gisele returned in the tenth film where it is revealed that she survived her fall from the vehicle in Fast & Furious 6, as she appears in a submarine to rescue Letty and Cipher from the Agency's Antarctica prison.
Personality
Gisele seemed to like men who showed courage. This was seen when she was repeatedly impressed with Han Seoul-Oh's courage to stick to the plan of stealing Reyes' money even though they saw he was in league with local law enforcement. She was also quite witty. When Roman Pearce asked her what time her legs would open, she pulled her gun on him and told him them they would open the same time she pulled the trigger then dared Roman to ask her to open them again.
Gisele was also very fearless. When she saw Han was about to be shot and killed from behind by Adolfson, she immediately let go of Han's grip to shoot Adolfson knowing full-well that it would lead to her death, although she survived.
Abilities
Mr. Nobody spoke highly of Gisele, even telling Han that she was his best operative.
- Expert Markswoman: As a former agent of Mossad, Gisele was a deadly markswoman; for example, she was able to shoot down and kill Ivory while he was speeding away on a motorcycle. She could even dual-wield pistols, as seen when she and Han were confronted in Hong Kong. She was also able to shoot Adolfson as she was falling to her presumed death.
- Expert Driver: Gisele was a capable driver, having been able to almost come close to slipping through Reyes' security cameras.
- Martial Artist: As part of Gisele's Mossad training, she had some skill in combat, as she was able to fight Adolfson.
- Trilingualism: Gisele spoke English, Spanish and Cantonese.
Trivia
- Before joining, Gisele can be considered a Punch Clock Villain, in that she has no personal maliciousness and is just doing her job.
- Gisele is the first formerly antagonistic character to join the team.
- Some sources claim her surname to be Harabo, while her file in Fast Five states it as Yashar.
