Escha Malier is one of two titular protagonists (alongside Logix Ficsario) of Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky and it's anime adaptation, a supporting character in Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea (major character in the Plus/DX version) and a minor character in Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey.

She is voiced by Rie Murakawa in the Japanese version, and by Marieve Herington in the English version.

Atelier Escha & Logy

Before the event of the game, Escha's mother died when she was young. She was taken care by her mom's friend Clone,an automaton. She had dreamed since she was young to explore the The Unexplored Ruin. She was eventually engage as official for the development team of the Colseit's branch of the Unentered Area Special Investigation Bureau to work as Alchemist alongside Logix Ficsario.

Eventually, she will get to explore the The Unexplored Ruin also known as Geosys after building a airship alongside her party. They would then met Flameau, who sends her guadian Gullveig to stop them. After beating Gullveig, Flameau activates Geosys' system which causes the Ruin to fall from the sky. Hopefully Escha and the other manage to flee before the Ruin collaspses.

After the Ruins falled, Escha and the others investigates it again. They met Flameau once again and fight her. After Flameau's defeat and disappearance, both Escha and Logy met Flameau again at the apple orchard. There Flameau gives Escha a "new life", that will grow into a flower before dissapearing again. Escha promises to take care of it.

  • In Dengeki Playstation vol. 541 a short story about how Escha became an government official is featured. It was written by the scenario writer 田中裕樹 and illustrated by Abaraheiki.
  • Prior to the game's announcement, a blurred silhouette of Escha was shown in a Dengeki magazine.
  • Escha came in fourth place in Gamer's Atelier Escha & Logy character popularity voting.
  • An illustration of Escha, together with Ion from Ciel Nosurge, was at the cover of the summer 2013 issue of the magazine Utahime.
