Okay, here's one for ya. What food can't make up it's mind? ... a waffle! (Laughs heartily)

Hi, Elle Hitler!
~ How people greet her, complete with a salute-like wave.

Elle Hitler (formerly Joanna) is a recurring character from the FOX animated series, Family Guy. She is a fat stupid librarian who tells silly jokes and laughs at everything. She's a single woman in her late 40's who's desperately looking for a man but still remains optimistic. Stewie absolutely loves her just because of her bright and cheery personality. She is voiced by Alex Borstein, who also voices Lois Griffin and Tricia Takanawa from the same show.

Biography

Love Quest

Elle Hitler has always been a desperate bachelorette, in search of a man to fall in love with and marry but sadly, she hasn't been able to find one. In "Petergeist", she joked about how every time she gets into a relationship with a man, she ends up scaring him away by telling them she's ready for a commitment all too soon. In "Movin' Out (Brian's Song)", Stewie expressed amazement over the fact that she was still single, given how charming and humorous she was.

In "Peterschmidt Hotel", Elle checked into the newly established Peterschmidt Hotel to to find love with another single bachelor on vacation. After nearly choking to death on some very dry scones by Martha Stewart, Elle fell in love with Dr. Elmer Hartman, when he saved her life with the Heimlich maneuver. However, her love was quickly deterred, when Principal Sheperd came up and returned the chewed up food to her in such a gentlemanly way. Elle was soon torn between the two laudable suitors and thus, a love triangle was born. Elle kept getting hit on by both men and she asked Brian for his opinion on who he thinks she should go with. Brian gave her some generic advice, which wasn't much help at all and then offended her by asking for a threeway with her and whatever suitor she chose. Finally, Elle settled on dating Dr. Hartman and the two got together as boyfriend and girlfriend. She did, however, feel bad for Principal Shepherd but fortunately for him, he got together with Dr. Hartman's mom.

Career

Elle Hitler primarily works at the Quahog Public Library, where she is very helpful to her customers, helping them find whatever books they're looking for. In "Petergeist", she gave Peter a book on the paranormal, when he needed to know how to get rid of a ghost in his house. In "Coma Guy", Peter went to her library in search of George Orwell's 1984 but Elle accidentally gave him the Van Halen CD of the same name instead. Peter Griffin, that dope, he couldn't even tell the difference.

In "Wild Wild West", Elle also tried her hand at running for mayor of Quahog, believing that as someone with experience, she can help her town with all of the issues that its citizens suffer from. She ran opposed to cousin of the town's previous mayor, Wild West. With the help of Peter Griffin, she sent out a political campaign, voiced over by Morgan Freeman. However, unbeknownst to her, her pollster went rogue and played some dirty tricks on her opponent and set Elle's library on fire while she was still in it, using Wild's branding stick. Fortunately for Elle, Wild West saved her from the building fire and yet, Peter didn't even get in any trouble for vandalizing property and endangering a woman's life. Nevertheless, Wild West won the mayoral election and Elle was glad that her friendly opponent had succeeded.

She just kindly shook hands with him and congratulated him for his victory.
