Dave Panpa is a major character in the Henry Stickmin series of games.

He is eager to do the best job he possibly can, but he always ends up failing due to his negligence and lack of skills.

He was voiced by PuffballsUnited, who voiced all of the other male characters in the series.

Roles

Dave is a minor character. However, he arguably has the greatest impact amongst all of them, specifically setting the entire game's events in motion.

In the Legacy Version of Breaking the Bank, Dave was a major antagonist and was seen locking Henry in a cell. The scene and Dave himself were removed from the remastered counterpart.

In Escaping the Prison, Dave Panpa serves as the overarching antagonist. Dave was supposed to check a package for Henry and confiscate any contraband, though he simply ignored his duties. When Rupert taunts Henry and asks if Dave did inspect it, he falsely and nervously confirmed before leaving with Rupert. The cake turned out to contain several useful tools that Henry used to escape. Dave also attempts to stop Henry in the Sneaky Escapist route, but was defeated by Henry. Afterwards, Dave was fired due to negligence.

In Stealing the Diamond, Dave was one of the Security Guards at the National Museum of History and Culture and partnered with Kurt Dietrich to guard the WWII exhibits. Kurt, who already hates his current job, now has to endure Dave's nonsense and rambling consistently. In the Just Plain Epic route, Henry knocks out Kurt with a WWII plane model, and Dave, unable to defend himself, tries to alert others, but crashes into a column and faints, allowing Henry to get past him unhindered.

In Infiltrating the Airship, Dave was somehow imprisoned in the Toppat Airship's Brig, and can be encountered in the Relentless Bounty Hunter/Rapidly Promoted Executive/Pure-Blooded Thief routes. In PBT, Dave can be rescued from the Brig if a key is retrieved on a desk near the beginning of the route and he will give a flash drive used for obtaining an achievement. Otherwise, Dave just sits in his cell and watches as Henry proceeds with his own machinations. He ultimately lives through the events of ItA.^[1]

In Completing the Mission, Dave plays a significant role in Toppat Civil Warfare. Henry's helicopter hat crashes himself into the brig, busting a hole in Dave's cell while knocking out Floyd. Dave agrees to help Henry and while he is instantly defeated by Floyd, Henry manages to quickly knock him down, saving Dave. Henry frees Thomas and Geoffrey before acting on the latter's escape plan. Dave joins the group and the party of four rides an escape pod into a desert, concluding the route. In the Multiverse Correction, a secret Ending, the game rewinds time back to the events of Escaping the Prison, where Dave is seen as a police officer again as he brings Henry's package to Rupert in the same manner as he did in EtP. Since Dave sits in the brig for all RBH/RPE endings^[2], he also likely lives through all of them as a prisoner, only possibly killed during the airship crash in Revenged.

• Infiltrating the Airship: For one reason or another he's been captured by the Toppat Clan and now sits in their brig.

• Completing the Mission: He's spent a long time in a Toppat cell. His life will probably never be the same.

Trivia

• He can be considered as one of the overarching protagonists of the series due to be the one that had inderiety causes Henry to go to different routes.
• Dave is easily one of the most mysterious and hidden characters of the series due to how he had ever gotten those jobs or how he even managed to be captured by the Toppat Clan in the first place and to be an easter egg of the games.
